Hostway Corporation Appoints Chief Financial Officer
Donald Eldert brings more than 25 years of management experience to the leading global provider of Web hosting and online services.
CHICAGO, Illinois, June 20, 2006—Hostway Corporation appointed Donald K. Eldert as the company’s first chief financial officer (CFO). Eldert, 47, joins Hostway from Bayer AG, where he served as CFO of Bayer Health Care’s Diabetes Care Division, a $1 billion global medical device manufacturer.
Eldert will lead Hostway’s worldwide finance organization and be responsible for Hostway’s accounting, financial planning, treasury, tax and audit functions. Eldert will be based in the company’s Chicago headquarters and report to Lucas Roh, Hostway’s founder and CEO.

His thorough understanding and deep expertise in finance, operations and business strategy give him a unique ability to contribute to Hostway as we expand our portfolio of Internet-based services in various international markets.”
As CFO for Bayer Health Care’s Diabetes Care Division, Eldert led a series of business initiatives that successfully repositioned the division for sustainable market growth. Before joining Bayer, Eldert was vice president of Enterprise Risk Management at NiSource, a diversified and integrated energy distribution and service company. He also held various senior management positions at FMC Corp. and Amoco Corp. (BP) where he was a group controller and marketing manager.
Eldert earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and agribusiness from Illinois State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Eldert is also a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant and holds a master’s degree with a concentration in management strategy and finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Eldert lives in Munster, Indiana with his wife, Robin, and their five children.
